T
oday,
with all the formal dressing, I started typing down my fair draft
onto the laptop. Now this took a while because there was a lot! For
the last bit, I asked one of my friends about last night's social
event,t o include it in my report, as I was absent at that time. Ms.
Lorraine only entered to tell us about the chief collaborative task –
the newsletter.
At
12pm we had to submit a summary of our respective committee's
proceedings, to add it in the newsletter. I stopped halfway and ran
to my committee, just so I don't miss out. There was nothing much
happening; just the boring moderated caucuses. The negative feedback
session, followed by the confession session and that was fun!
I
thought I was good at multitasking, so I finished the summary with my
sister, my individual reports (2) and started the newsletter as well.
T
he
other reporters weren't doing much for the newsletter; just listening
to music and chatting and that got me annoyed, because it was a
collaborative task. Hence, I didn't depend on anyone and so I started
making the newsletter on my laptop. Together ,three of us selected
the title and then I asked everyone to submit their summaries. My
pendrive was the only device that helped here, so I circulated it and
got all. Encountering format errors, I was getting worked up, since
we were running out of time. So I submitted my reports first and sent
whatever I did for the newsletter.
It
was time for the closing ceremony and I was waiting for the IP
awards. A roar of applause and cheering woke my ears up, when
Ms.Lorraine announced, “The high commendation award goes to Surabhi
Jain!”. I jumped out of my seat and walked up to the stage to
receive the medal and certificate. Our school won the overall
delegation and was invited for the Mumbai Championship conference.
