Journal 11.0: IIMUN, once again

On this day that initiated the IIMUN Chapter, there was the beginning of the sprightly opening ceremony where in I began my 'notes taking', as an official IIMUN reporter in the International Press, for the next three days. I went back home and was pretty excited about the next day's work.

The next day, all the IP members were asked to assemble in the room alloted. Ms.Lorraine Miranda, the director general plus our chair, started the introductory session. Everyone seemed friendly and I love talking, so I had already made couple of friends. There were 14 photographers and 16 reporters. We were asked to write a summary on yesterday's opening ceremony, for the team to upload it on the IIMUN face-book page. I pulled out my diary where I had written down bullet points on the ceremony and started writing a fair draft. Asking everyone to state their pints, I was done writing it. So good it is, apparently, to be the head, knowingly or unknowingly. Looked like I was liked by my fellow reporters.

With my sister (who was also a reporter, from another school), I ran to the committee we chose (HRC – Human Rights Council). Initially it was boring, but then it got better. We could just barge into the committee and write on it's proceedings, funny, serious, anything. Humor was supposed to be the main element, to keep the readers reading. I discovered that my reports somehow had it! Together, we reporters submitted the summary that we were asked to do. Ms. Lorraine was happy about our patience and sincerity. It was sure exhausting to listen to every delegate speak, but we'd become more heedful later.

I had a few questions prepared to ask the chair and delegates, so, during unmoderated caucus, I interrupted the delegate of Australia, followed by the delegate of China, with the prior permission of the chair. Next, I asked the chair about the thoughts on the committee.
At home, I typed down the interview, rough draft for the procedural article and a few questions for the press conference and sent them all to Ms. Lorraine, through email.
I was tired, but I wanted to finish the fair draft of my procedural article, so I did that too.
