Journal 10.2: Chairing like a boss!

Looked like the students have got a good hold of what they are supposed to do . I was asked to conduct a mock session and chair the UNEP committee, to give them good practice. Now, this experience was real nice because I felt like an actual chair. It was because of my observation at the previous IIMUN that I could duplicate the actions of a chair and how he keeps the committee going.

Beginning with the opening speech on the GSL, I heard a few speeches and corrected them here and there. Next, I opened the floor to motions, asked for those in favor and those against. Whichever motion had less or more votes, I declared that “This motion clearly passes/fails”. Few of them didn't speak up, few had the world's confidence. With the help of my vice chair, I managed to mold the delegates into adequate MUNers. Anushka (vice chair) and I assumed that the delegate of Greenland would win 'Best Delegate'. I rechecked a few opening speeches and helped few begin theirs. In the mean time, I was asked to chair the DISEC committee for a mock session, so I did that afterward.
