Journal 6.0: Psychology is spellbinding

Psychology has always been my subject of interest. Today I went onto the www.open2study.com website (A website that provides free on line courses from various universities in Australia). There was this course called 'Foundations of Psychology' and so I enrolled my name. Next, I made a CAS proposal and got the required signatures. Both the CAS coordinator and the DP coordinator liked the idea of doing an on line course.

I got back home and couldn't wait to log in. I began with the first module. The course comprises of 4 modules: each contains 10 videos, 10 quizzes and one final assessment. Since the course officially began on the 21st of March '16, I had to catch up with whatever had been covered. So I finished module 1 in a span of 2 hours today.

I learned about the subject matter of psychology, a thought experiment, 'the mind-body problem' and the basics of the nervous system. The learning process was fun and not stressful at all, as there was an option to look at the videos again and repeat the pop quiz if you're not happy with the grades!. However, there were a few complicated words to remember and so i kept a notebook by my side to take down running notes.

 Duration: 3 hours
