Journal 15.2:

Asian topper Nishanth, from our school, who scored a full 45, along with Mithin, who scored 44, entered the field. The crowd started applauding and escort duties began. I, along with two other friends and two juniors, were given the opportunity to host the ceremony! We were supposed to speak in both English and Hindi. I welcomed everybody and then we joined the rest of our crew. Meanwhile, a teacher did the hosting. As we saluted them, we saw how proud they felt. Their parents felt prouder and we only got inspired. Nishanth was made to stand next to the flag. We performed the march past around the track and saluted him for his remarkable achievement, as we crossed the flag. We completed the march past, almost professionally, with white gloves. The drumming for the march was by the Micheal Job school band. Post this, the three of us went back to continue hosting the ceremony. Our coaches and teachers thought we did a great job!
