HMUN India 2016, was the next best challenge ahead of me, ahead of us. We set out after adequate preparation to Hyderabad, keeping all our baggage and adhar cards safe. Landed at the formula 1 hotel, we got in to our room ( I took the responsibility of the key), got into our formals to attend the opening ceremony and the Rules of procedure explanation session at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). Socializing had already begun. I chose to be a reporter again (here the committee name is called 'Press corps'), so I was alloted the Sakal times, a marathi newspaper, that focuses on the core value of humanity. I had no clue of what exactly I was supposed to do because this was a completely different thing from what it was at IIMUN Cbe. Unfortunately and quite funnily, I wasn't even aware that there was a guide for the press committee. However, I began taking down notes on the happenings. I knew I had to be a keen listener for the next four days. Committee session-I commenced. Our press corps committee contained 20 representatives with me being the most tense because of the same reason. I felt so hopeless, yet I thought I will not and must not give up that easy.
The introductory session started off and just then I felt my heart pounding in my mouth; like this happens whenever I have to speak about some random thing on spot. After stating which news agency we were representing, our hobbies, school etc., we were asked to also state a fun fact about ourselves. Out of no where, I blankly declared that “I dont mind twerking in the middle of a crowd”. They all thought I was a fun person just then and immediately raised motions to entertain! But I denied because, I guess I had to. During the social event, I typed down an introductory article (opening ceremony). I researched a bit about my news agency and read the guide.
