'
STOP
ABORTION, START ADOPTION' – The very slogan that promises to enfold
a sense of apprehension in the humanity of the generation, that will
make them realize relevantly and push the wave of guilt down their
spine when it sprouts the brutal thought of stealing from the infant
it's beautiful life awaiting ahead of him/her.
It
is a sorrowful situation, whilst being epidemic too.
At
times, the couple thinks that the cause to abort is reasonable, since
they might not have requisite amount of money to raise the child.
However, they are unaware of the knowledge that there are birth
control methods to prevent this from happening.
There
are, undoubtedly, around a million mothers, desperately waiting to
hold that baby in their arms. In fact, both the mother and father,
literally put up their names on waiting lists, to raise a baby whom
they want to cherish, give love, warmth and value, eternally.
None
has the right to show a 9-month old, the cruelty of death.
I
firmly believe that one of the best things we and the pro-life
movement can do is promote adoption. We cannot claim that every
mother out there can adequately care for her baby alone. That is,
apparently not true, one bit. We should stand behind any mother who
desires to keep her child, but we should not demand this of all
mothers.
While
the inability to care for a baby is no excuse to kill her. We should
work harder to paint an accurate picture of adoption for pregnant
mothers.
The
social stigma of being a girl child in the so-called old school of
thought that should be eradicated from the grassroot levels in our
Indian social system through extensive awareness campaigns, mainly in
the rural areas, highlighting the evils of abortion.
Our
school team (TIPS) made charts/posters/banners to create awareness
whilst walking on the streets of Avinashi road and ATT Colony,
shouting “Stop Abortion, Start Adoption”.
